SHANGHAI, Aug 20 (SMM) – Industrial producers located north of the Yellow river are likely to face output controls from September 1, in an effort to clear up the sky ahead of the National Day parade in October for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of China's founding.
Trucks will be banned from driving within the sixth ring road in Beijing during August 20-October 10, and industrial operation in core areas of the capital will be suspended from September 1. Some companies have received the notice as of Tuesday August 20.
This means that construction sites across north China will step up operation this month and expand steel consumption.
