SMM News: the International Monetary Fund (IMF) forecasts that Guinea will attract a combined investment of about $6.5 billion in bauxite mining and alumina plant construction between 2017 and 2020.

Guinea enjoys a reputation as a "geological miracle" and is rich in mineral resources. Among them, the proven reserves of bauxite are about 25 billion tons, accounting for 1/3 of the world's proven reserves. Bauxite in Guinea is mainly concentrated in the Bokai region.
