[SMM rare Earth Daily Review 08.16] the news side boosted the price of rare earth products.

SMM8, 16th, news:

The prices of some rare earth products rose today, praseodymium and neodymium oxide rose to 30-305000 yuan / ton, neodymium oxide rose to 30.2-307000 yuan / ton, and gadolinium oxide price rose to 17.4-176000 yuan / ton. As the Chinese side announced last night that it would impose 10 per cent tariffs on about US $300 billion in imports from China, the Chinese side said on the 15th that it would take the necessary countermeasures. The Chinese side had no choice but to do so. Prices of rare earth products rose today, but the prices of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide remain stable. Prices of rare earth products are expected to rise steadily, boosted by news in the short term.
