SHANGHAI, Aug 12 (SMM) – Sales of new energy vehicles across Chinese markets dropped in the first full month after the new subsidy scheme took effect, showed an industry survey.
The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) reported on Monday August 12 that about 80,000 NEVs were sold in July, down 4.7% from a year ago and 47.5% from a month ago. Sales of pure electric vehicles saw a sharper decline.
CAAM data also showed that NEV production decreased 37.2% from June and 6.9% from July 2018 to stand at 84,000 units last month.
