SHANGHAI, Aug 2 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port continued to climb this week, but at a slower pace of 3,000 mt from a week ago, to stand at 66,000 mt as of Friday August 2, showed SMM data.
Cargo flows at port warehouses improved considerably on delivery for overseas orders at the end of the week, following active trades during the week. Traders stockpiled slightly after silicon prices bottomed out, and this also grew port inventories.
Growth in stocks in Kunming also slowed on the week as shipments picked up.
