China's prebaked anode exports rise 1% in H1

SHANGHAI, Aug 1 (SMM) – China's exports of prebaked anode climbed some 1% from a year ago and amounted to 622,000 mt in the first half of this year, the latest customs data showed. 

Exports in June grew 52.5% on the month but shrank 0.2% on the year, standing at 131,000 mt. 

Malaysia was the biggest export destination in the first half of this year, as some 222,000 mt of Chinese prebaked anode was delivered to the country in January-June, down 1% from a year earlier. 

In the first half of 2019, exports of Chinese prebaked anode to Canada expanded 9.5% year on year, to stand at 112,000 mt, with that to Russia rising 3.8% to 77,000 mt.
