SHANGHAI, Jul 31 (SMM) – China's exports of aluminium extrusions, bars and rods shrank 8.6% from May to stand at 88,100 mt in June on a stronger Chinese yuan and higher SHFE/LME aluminium price ratios, showed SMM calculation based on the latest customs data.
On a yearly basis, however, exports in June remained some 3.7% higher.
Seasonality also accounted for the month-on-month decline in exports as seven out of the past 11 years saw exports of aluminium extrusions, bars and rods falling on the month in June.
The exports of Chinese aluminium extrusions, bars and rods were under five HS codes of eight digits, including 76041010, 76041090, 76042100, 76042910, and 76042990.
