SHANGHAI, Jul 31 (SMM) – Zijin Mining Group, a Chinese nonferrous metals producer, will put 150,000 mt/year of new capacity for copper cathode online at its smelter in Heilongjiang province on August 18, SMM learned on Wednesday July 31.

Initially constructed in May 2017, the smelter also has annual capacity of 600,000 mt sulfuric acid, 3 mt gold, and 50 mt silver.
