Canadian mining company (Ivanhoe Mines) said on Monday that the company's Kamoa-Kakula copper mine project in the Republic of the Congo is gradually expanding.

SMM7, March 30: Canada Ivanhoe Mining Company (Ivanhoe Mines) official website said on Monday that the company is located in the Republic of the Congo Kamoa-Kakula copper project gradually expanded.

At present, the project extends to a length of more than 550 meters, with a copper grade of 13.8% in the range of 15.5 meters.

The copper mine is the fourth largest copper mine in the world. After full development, the annual output of the copper mine will reach 382000 metal tons in the first 10 years and climb to 700000 metal tons in 12 years' time.

The mining of the Kamoa-Kakula project has been going on for 10 years. Zijin Mining Group, China's largest gold producer and current partner, joined the company in 2015. Citic Metal followed suit last year, becoming Ivanhoe's largest shareholder.
