Vedanta's revenue and profit both fell in the last quarter, alumina production jumped 37% from a year earlier.

Vedanta (Vedanta Ltd) reported revenue of 211.67 billion rupees ($3.07 billion) for the first quarter ended June 30 (April-June 2019), down 4 per cent from a year earlier. After-tax profit (PAT) was 13.51 billion rupees ($196 million), down 12 per cent from a year earlier.

SMM7, 29 July: Vedanta (Vedanta Ltd) reported revenue of 211.67 billion rupees (about $3.07 billion) for the first quarter ended June 30 (April-June 2019), down 4 per cent from a year earlier. After-tax profit (PAT) was 13.51 billion rupees ($196 million), down 12 per cent from a year earlier.

Of these, Zinc India produced 219000 tons of zinc, up 3 per cent from a year earlier. But alumina production was 446000 tons, up 37 per cent from a year earlier.
