DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsConsultingSHANGHAI, Jul 25 (SMM) – Prices of low-grade silicon metal held stable this week, supported by month-end stockpiling by domestic downstream consumers and purchases by exporters to fulfill orders.
At Tianjin port, 553# that did not undertake oxygen-refining was quoted at 9,700 yuan/mt as of Thursday July 25, while oxidized materials were offered at 10,400-10,500 yuan/mt.
Some northern producers told SMM that their current inventory levels are low and that they have no plan to change quotes given sufficient orders.
