Aluminium processing capacity of 100,000 mt to come online in Guangdong

SHANGHAI, Jul 25 (SMM) – An aluminium processing project with a capacity of 100,000 mt/year at Guangtai Metal Materials in Dongguan of Guangdong province is ready for commissioning, SMM learned on Thursday July 25.

The project involves aluminium billet capacity of 60,000 mt and high-end alloy capacity of 40,000 mt, with molten aluminium supplied by Chinalco Qinghai.

It is expected to come online in end-July or early-August after the weather eases in Qinghai.
