SHANGHAI, Jul 23 (SMM) – China’s imports of alumina declined 9.5% year on year to 320,000 mt in the first half of the year, and exports shrank 24.4% to 180,819 mt, according to monthly report released by China’s General Administration of Customs on Tuesday July 23.
In June, about 50,000 mt of seaborne alumina entered China, down 16.7% from May but up 4.6% from June 2018.
Exports in June more than halved from May to 3,757 mt, down 96.8% from a year ago.
