OZ Minerals raises copper production target Q2 copper production target for fiscal year 2019 to 28525 metal tons

OZ Minerals raised its copper production target for fiscal 2019 and expects copper production to rise from 97000 to 109000 metal tons to 103000 to 115500 metal tons in fiscal 2019. Copper production in the second quarter was 28525 metal tons, up 5.1 per cent from a year earlier.

SMM7, 23 March -: OZ Minerals raised its copper production target for fiscal 2019 and expects copper production to rise from 97000 to 109000 metal tons to 103000 to 115500 metal tons in fiscal 2019.

Gold production is expected to be between 122200 and 135600 ounces in fiscal 2019, of which the Antas gold mine is expected to produce 4200 to 4600 ounces.

At the same time, the company also released production figures for the second quarter of this year.

Copper production in the second quarter was 28525 metal tons, up 5.1 per cent from a year earlier. Gold production was 27072 ounces, down 3.7 per cent from a year earlier

So far this year, the company's total copper production has reached 55967 metal tons.

OZ Minerals is currently developing the Carrapateena copper and gold project in South Australia, which is expected to go into production in the fourth quarter of this year, and the project was finally approved for investment of nearly $1 billion in the mine in August 2017. This is the first greenfield mine to be built in Australia in about five years.
