DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Jul 15 (SMM) – Guangzhou, capital of southern China's Guangdong province, is stepping up the development of 5G and expects to construct 14,600 5G base stations by the end of this year, local authorities said on Tuesday July 9.
By the end of June, the city had some 5,000 5G base stations in operation, and the Guangdong province had 8,949 base stations, according to the 5G Innovation & Development Conference held in Guangzhou on July 14.
The province will incorporate 5G base station construction into urban and rural planning.
