SHANGHAI, Jun 21 (SMM) – China issued the 9th batch of quotas for metal scrap imports this week, just before imports of Category Six materials being restricted from July 1.
This batch allows 240,429 mt of copper scrap, 54,256 mt of aluminium scrap and 14,968 mt of steel scrap to enter China, according to the list released by the Solid Waste and Chemical Management Centre under the Ministry of Environmental Protection on June 20.
