SHANGHAI, Jun 21 (SMM) – Power supply to producers of nickel pig iron and stainless steel in Yangjiang of Guangdong province will be limited for 15-20 days, starting from Thursday June 20, due to a power line reconstruction, SMM learned.
A local NPI plant told SMM that this is expected to impact production by about 10%.
This is estimated to lower NPI output from Yangjiang in June by 500 mt in Ni content, as output in May came in at 5,000 mt in Ni content, which accounted for 1% of the nationwide total.
