Declines in primary aluminium inventories continue on week

Stocks fell 37,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.081 million mt as of Jun 20

SHANGHAI, Jun 20 (SMM) – Primary aluminium stocks in China continued to fall this week.

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, fell 37,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.081 million mt as of Thursday June 20, after a drop of 30,000 mt in the week ended June 13.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 374,000 mt

Shanghai – 211,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 241,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 100,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 72,000 mt

Tianjin – 53,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 7,000 mt

Chongqing –23,000 mt

PLN Indonesia Power to Develop 268 Projects, Adding 30.2 GW by 2034
[SMM Aluminum Express News] PLN Indonesia Power (PLN IP) has announced plans to develop 268 power plant projects under the RUPTL 2025–2034, with a total additional capacity of 30,276.2 MW (30.2 GW). The projects will be spread across all regions of Indonesia to support equitable energy infrastructure and strengthen national energy security. PLN IP CEO Bernadus Sudarmanta emphasized that the success of this program depends heavily on collaboration with various strategic partners, both domestic and foreign. “We are open to broad cooperation to accelerate the realization of these projects. Collaboration is the key to delivering a reliable, sustainable electricity system that supports national economic growth,” he said.
