Anhui to add 3 major aluminium processing projects in 2019

Those projects are estimated to utilise 280,000 mt of aluminium in a year

SHANGHAI, Jun 20 (SMM) – East China’s Anhui province will add three major aluminium processing projects this year, which are estimated to consume a total of 280,000 mt of aluminium in a year, according to the scheme for a list of key projects in Anhui for 2019 the government released in late May.

Anhui is near primary aluminium production hubs, Shandong and Henan, as well as major consumption regions, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, while cheaper land and workers improve its advantage against Jiangsu.

US Inflation Rises 0.3% in February, Matching Expectations; Fed Rate Cut Timing Unclear Amid Iran Oil Crisis

The latest US inflation data has been released, showing that seasonally adjusted CPI in February rose 0.3% MoM and was up 2.4% YoY; core CPI increased 0.2% MoM and rose 2.5% YoY, with all figures in line with market expectations.
