SHANGHAI, Jun 18 (SMM) – China produced 21.82 million mt of rebar and 14.07 million mt of wire rod in May, up 22.9% and 16% from a year ago, respectively, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday June 18.
In January-May, production of rebar amounted to 95.74 million, standing 17.1% higher than the same period last year, while production of wire rod rose 15.8% to 63 million mt.
