China’s rare earth exports decline 16% in May

China exported 3,640 mt of rare earths in May

SHANGHAI, Jun 10 (SMM) – China, the world’s largest rare earth producer, exported 3,640 mt of such materials in May, down 16% month on month, according to data from China Customs released on Monday June 10.

Exports in the first five months of the year came in at 19,266 mt, down 7.2% from the same period last year.
