SHANGHAI, Jun 4 (SMM) – China exported 16.78 GW of photovoltaic modules in the first quarter, up 77.63% from a year ago, according to the latest data from the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME).
Value of the exports stood at $4.39 billion, up 31.89% from January-March of 2018. The average export price shrank 25.75% year on year, to $0.26/W, which contributed to the greater exports.
Chinese solar modules entered 186 countries in the first quarter, with Vietnam, the Netherlands, India, Japan, and Australia as the top five export destinations.
