SHANGHAI, Jun 3 (SMM) – Quiet traders kept social inventories of refined zinc across Shanghai, Guangdong and Tianjin stable over the weekend.

SMM data showed that inventories across the three regions decreased by 2,600 mt from Friday May 31, but increased by 4,000 mt from Monday May 27, to stand at 141,300 mt as of Monday June 3.

Stocks in Shanghai barely changed, while inventories in Guangdong grew as shipments from smelters entered social warehouses.

Despite poor purchases by downstream consumers, stocks in Tianjin dipped as cargoes were delivered to Shanghai.
