Is Huawei a tool of the Chinese government? Foreign Ministry: the United States is racking its brains to make up all kinds of topics

Published: May 30, 2019 20:51

Q: it is reported that US Secretary of State Pompeo said yesterday that the cooperation between US enterprises and the government obeys US laws, but the situation in China is completely different. Huawei is a tool of the Chinese government, and the two are closely linked. In addition, we also note that a spokesman for the US State Department told reporters yesterday that the introduction of the US Defense Authorization Act to prohibit the use of Huawei equipment by US administrative agencies is based on certain evidence. What is China's comment on this?

A: we have noticed the position of the US side, and the US side has finally mentioned "evidence." For some time, the United States has racked its brains to make up topics to crack down on Huawei, trying to lead the public in the United States and the international community to believe that Huawei has security problems. The US side has previously talked about the ideological issue, and now it is talking about Huawei's relationship with the Chinese government. It is estimated that the US side will continue to fabricate some other topics. However, around the world, the US side has always dodged a question that everyone is really concerned about, that is, the United States can come up with no evidence in the end.

In sharp contrast to this is the "Prism Gate" incident, the fact that the US Government has played a role in it, and whether the US Government has made a choice in carrying out cyber violations because of ideological differences, the facts are all there. Very clear. The international community does not need to find any basis to characterize such acts.
