Inventories of primary aluminium decline 70,000 mt on week

Stocks dropped 70,000 mt from a week ago to stand at 1.212 million mt as of May 30

SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – Primary aluminium stocks in China continued to fall this week, as demand remained decent and limited cargoes arrived.

SMM data showed that social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, dropped 70,000 mt from Thursday May 23 to stand at 1.212 million mt as of Thursday May 30.

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 434,000 mt

Shanghai – 251,000 mt

Nanhai, Guangdong – 255,000 mt

Gongyi, Henan – 82,000 mt

Hangzhou, Zhejiang – 98,000 mt

Tianjin – 55,000 mt

Linyi, Shandong – 10,000 mt

Chongqing –27,000 mt
