SHANGHAI, May 30 (SMM) – An explosion occurred at a steel mill in Nanchang of Jiangxi province in the afternoon of Wednesday May 29, which killed one person and injured nine.
The mill is owned by Fangda Special Steel Technology. The company has three blast furnaces, with molten iron capacity of 3.15 million mt/year.
The accident happened at the No.2 blast furnace, which can produce about 1.25 million mt of molten iron per year.
