Iranian aluminium production fell 33 per cent last month from a year earlier

Iran's major aluminium producers produced 20415 tons between March 21 and April 20, down 33 per cent from the same period last year. Although aluminum production at (Iran Aluminum Company), an Iranian aluminium company, rose 2 per cent from a year earlier to 15297 tons. But the production of aluminum companies, which ranked second and third, fell sharply from a year earlier: Hormozal aluminum produced 2625 tons, down 73% from a year earlier to 2493 tons, down 58% from a year earlier.

SMM5, 29 March-Iran's major aluminium producers produced 20415 tons of aluminum from March 21 to April 20, down 33 percent from the same period last year, according to the Iranian mining organization (the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization), according to the website Financial Tribune, which reported that the total output of Iran's major aluminum producers between March 21 and April 20 was 20415 tons, down 33 percent from the same period last year.

Although aluminum production at (Iran Aluminum Company), an Iranian aluminium company, rose 2 per cent from a year earlier to 15297 tons.

But the production of aluminum companies, which ranked second and third, fell sharply from a year earlier: Hormozal aluminum produced 2625 tons, down 73% from a year earlier to 2493 tons, down 58% from a year earlier.

In terms of alumina powder, Iranian alumina company (Iran Alumina Company) produced 18259 tons during the period, down 11 per cent from a year earlier.

According to Metal Bulletin, Iran currently has a capacity of 457000 tons of aluminum nameplates, of which about 437000 tons are in operation.

By 2025, Iran plans to increase its annual aluminum production to 1.5 million tons.
