Abe eats and plays with him for four days, but the alliance between the United States and Japan is not necessarily strong.

SMM5, 28 March: according to the latest news from the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), at about 13:00 local time on the 28th, US President Trump returned to the United States from Tokyo's Haneda Airport by special plane "Air Force one," ending a four-day visit to Japan.

In the past four days, Japanese Prime Minister Abe and Trump are playing golf, watching sumo wrestling, having barbecue together and playing selfies together.

Trump said on Twitter on the morning of the 28th that today I will listen to two stops in Japan, visit our great army, and then stop in Alaska and return to Washington. I had a very smooth meeting with Prime Minister Abe, and it was a great honor to meet the new emperor and queen of Japan.

Trump's visit to Japan is the first foreign leader of the time to visit Japan, and Abe has also given enough face. Japan not only plans to purchase 105 US-made F-35 stealth fighters. It also specially arranged for Trump to award awards to sumo wrestlers. Today, the two men also boarded the Japanese quasi-aircraft carrier Kaga and delivered a speech in front of a large number of soldiers. Abe said standing here with President Trump today is a testament to the strong alliance between the United States and Japan.

However, the 11th Japan-US summit between Abe and Trump did not agree on substantive issues of concern to both sides in the Japan-US trade negotiations.

Trump stressed that there has been a huge trade imbalance between Japan and the United States over the years, and that the United States aims to reduce the trade deficit with Japan. Abe stressed the contribution of Japanese enterprises to the US economy, looking forward to greater economic development between Japan and the United States, and said the two sides reached agreement on speeding up the process of trade negotiations between Japan and the United States during the talks. It is clear that the three hours of talks between the two sides did not resolve the issue of the trade deficit raised by Trump, which is bound to be a key factor in the possible cracks in US-Japanese relations in the future. Although Mr Trump will delay imposing tariffs on imported cars for three months, there is no guarantee that Europe and Japan will be free in three months, and it is not known that Mr Trump will turn his finger on the EU and Japan if relations between China and the US can ease in the future.

It is worth mentioning that Trump's dish was the last to be served at a Japanese charcoal barbecue dinner on the evening of the 26th. Trump looked serious and squinted at the chef. I wonder if Abe deliberately messed with Trump. Knowing that Trump is a haggle, and telling Trump to wait until the end, Abe may want to avenge the last time Trump dominated the red carpet.
