DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, May 23 (SMM) – Shanxi Huasheng Aluminum will close all capacity of primary aluminium on Friday May 24, after the last 10 electrolytic baths are shuttered as scheduled, SMM learned on Thursday May 23.
The company began to phase out its 150,000 mt of capacity on May 7, and closed 10 electrolytic baths on a daily basis from May 8.
Among its capacity replacement quotas of 220,000 mt, 30,000 mt was transferred to Inner Mongolia Huayun New Materials, and 190,000 mt went to Yunnan Aluminium’s Heqing Yixin plant.
