Aluminium billet stocks grow as buyers remain cautious

Stocks rose some 1,600 mt from May 5 to stand at 96,500 mt as of May 9

SHANGHAI, May 9 (SMM) – Inventories of aluminium billet in China extended their gains this week as buyers stood on the sidelines.

SMM data showed that stocks of 6063 aluminium billet across five major consumption areas rose some 1,600 mt from Sunday May 5 to stand at 96,500 mt as of Thursday May 9.

Details:

Foshan, Guangdong – 51,800 mt

Wuxi, Jiangsu – 16,400 mt

Changzhou, Jiangsu – 8,000 mt

Huzhou, Zhejiang – 12,000 mt

Nanchang, Jiangxi – 8,300 mt
