China’s rare earth mining and smelting/separation quotas stood at 168,000 mt and 162,000 mt respectively in 2021, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

South 32 hiked quotes for manganese ore to $6.65 per tonne (Mn content) for Mn 45.5% ore in October, up $0.15 per tonne (Mn content) from September’s levels. 

China’s manganese ore imports decreased 1.81% on the month to 1.861 million tonnes in July 2017, according to China Customs.
