SMM4, March 3: the current Sino-US trade negotiations have reached the ninth round, according to the current situation, it may be possible to finalize the final trade agreement this month. At the same time, Trump turned his cannon and began to fire on his "little partner."

Trump is said to be unhappy with the $69 billion trade balance between the United States and Japan, 2/3 of which comes from the auto industry. In February, the Commerce Department submitted to Trump a report on the impact of heavy imports of cars and parts on the national security of the United States, giving Trump 90 days to decide whether to raise tariffs on the basis of the report. Japan is an export-dependent country, because Japan does not have a large enough consumer market, which makes the Japanese economy largely constrained by the external environment, and the United States, as one of Japan's most important exporters, If Trump did impose a 20% tariff on Japan, it would be even worse for the Japanese economy, so Japan is eager to negotiate to avoid being taxed by the United States.

In fact, Trump has long wanted to clean up Japan, including the European Union. The United States has always been a trade deficit country, and the most important of these trade deficits was earned by China, the European Union, Mexico, and Japan. Last year, we resumed talks with Canada and Mexico on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and fought a trade war with China. Now that the dust has largely settled, Japan and the European Union are doomed.

It is reported that Japanese Prime Minister Abe will visit the United States in late April to hold talks with Trump to discuss the outcome of the first US-Japan trade talks. Next, it's time for us to watch the Japanese show.
