Analysis of import data of lead concentrate in February 2019

SMM3, March 28: according to customs data, in February 2019, China's lead concentrate imports totaled 1.0437 million tons, down 23.31 percent from the previous month. SMM analysis shows that February coincides with the Lunar New year holiday, customs import time is shortened, resulting in a decline in the overall import of lead concentrate. The details are as follows:

Judging from the customs declaration port, Nanjing Customs (51%) accounts for half of the lead concentrate circulation. In addition, The amount of lead concentrate in circulation at Manzhouli Customs (12%), Shenyang Customs (6%), Nanjing Customs (6%), Nanning Customs (6%), Qingdao Customs (5%) and Urumqi Customs (5%) are all 5% or more.

In terms of major source countries, in the import trade of lead concentrate, the main source countries include Spain (21 per cent), the Russian Federation (14 per cent), Cuba (13 per cent), Peru (12 per cent), Turkey (7 per cent) and the United States (5 per cent).
