Jin Bo Bauxite Development Co., Ltd.-Port Construction start-up shipment ready to go

On March 22, 2019, the foundation laying ceremony of Jin Bo United Port Construction Project, operated by Jin Bo Bauxite Development Co., Ltd., was held at Jin Bo United Port Construction Base on Fatala River, Bofa City, Guinea. Representatives of the President of Guinea joined the government and media personnel in geology and mining, transportation, engineering, environment, news, and so on. More than 1,000 people, including the governor of Bofa, officials of the local government of Bokai, and people from all walks of life, attended the ceremony.

Representatives of the President of Guinea, the Minister of Mining, Governor of Bofa and Chief engineer of Yantai Port Group, Chen Zhenquan, President of Gaoding International Group, and CEO Bangura of Jin Bo Bauxite Development Co., Ltd., delivered speeches at the ceremony.

After the speech, Jia Shujie, chairman of Rundi Jin Bo Aluminum Industry, and the above distinguished guests, together with the shovel, carried out the filling ceremony of the cornerstone of the port construction project, and officially announced the smooth start of port construction!

After the launch of the Jin Bo joint port construction project, the wharf and its supporting facilities will be built along the Fatara River. The project proposes to build two berths with a design capacity of 10 million tons per year and a reserved capacity of 15 million tons per year. Jin Bo will speed up the construction of the port terminal on the premise of ensuring the quality of design and construction, and the first phase of the project is scheduled to go into production in June 2019. Jin Bo United Port is a joint venture company (Kimbo&Co.Port) jointly invested by China Yantai Port Group, Singapore Gaoding International and Guinea Jin Bo Mining Industry. The construction, ownership and operation of river ports and terminals and their supporting facilities in Guinea is the most key link in opening up the logistics supply chain from Guinea to China, and it is also in response to the call of the state "Belt and Road Initiative" to take practical actions to support the national strategy. To take root in achieving win-win development.

The bauxite project operated by Rundijinbo (KIMBO), located in (FRIA), (BOKE) Foria Province, Bokai District, Guinea, plans to produce 10 million tons of bauxite per year and will build an alumina plant with an annual capacity of 3 million tons in the future. The project has been progressing smoothly since its official launch in early 2017, and the first ship of bauxite will sail to China at the joint port of Jin Bo in June this year.

In the hot period of bauxite mining in Guinea, the launching ceremony of Jin Bo joint port construction project marks that the project has entered a new stage of full implementation. While meeting the bauxite demand of domestic alumina enterprises, it will also provide rich employment opportunities, increase taxes and promote regional economic development in Guinea. Jin Bo project will become a win-win cooperation between China and Guinea, benefit the Guinean people, and achieve rapid economic development.
