Mining strike spreads to at least 15 companies in South Africa

SMM2 25-the South African Mining Commission (Minerals Council South Africa) said on Friday that at least 15 mining companies in South Africa have been notified of a strike this week to support their Sibanye-Stillwater colleagues. The colleagues went on strike over wages and layoffs.

The companies affected include AngloGold Ashanti, Harmony Gold, Anglo American Platinum and Lonmin.
