Zhejiang Xinge Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. held a grand opening ceremony of the production, learning and research base in Jiashan, Zhejiang Province at 09:58 on February 19, 2019. at present, the electrification of the automobile industry has put forward higher requirements for the lightening of the whole vehicle. The existing aluminum alloy grades can not meet the new requirements of high strength and high toughness. Therefore, Zhejiang Xinge combined with Shanghai University of Applied Technology to give full play to their respective advantages, joint research and development can meet customer requirements, more targeted aluminum alloy materials.

SMM interviewed Li Shilong, chairman of the China Renewable Resources Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, Yuan Yongda, secretary general of the Shanghai Aluminum Industry Association, and Qian Ming, full-time deputy secretary general of the Die casting Branch of the China Foundry Association. Each expressed their views on the establishment of the industry-university-research base.

At the opening ceremony, Wu Menghan, general manager of Zhejiang Xinge, and du Yong, deputy director of Shanghai University of Applied Technology, all made important speeches.

General Manager Wu Menghan pointed out that in the past 30 or 40 years, most of them have done research and development behind closed doors. But now the market has appeared new demand, such as automobile lightweight demand, aluminum alloy material brand high strength, high toughness and so on. As the enterprise self-research and development has been unable to meet the new needs of end customers, so enterprises need to go out and cooperate with universities, industry associations and other joint research and development. It also said that China's recycled aluminum accounts for 20% to 25% of the total aluminum used in the country, while the United States accounts for 70% of the aluminum used in the United States, because China's recycled aluminum is mainly used in the foundry industry. Therefore, the current direction should focus on allowing recycled aluminum into the strip and foil industry.

Deputy director du Yong said global aluminum demand has grown at a rate of 3. 5% in recent years, while china is growing at an average annual rate of 15. 25%. Global aluminum consumption is expected to reach 110 million tons by 2020. According to the medium-and long-term Science and Technology Development Plan of Nonferrous Metals Industry (2006-2020), the proportion of recycled aluminum in the total output of aluminum in China will increase to 40% by 2020. Therefore, the good development of recycled aluminum industry is of great economic, social and environmental significance to China. Our government is also very concerned about the development of this area, and has issued a series of policies to encourage and support it. Specifically, in the cooperation between schools and enterprises, today's production, learning and research activities are only a starting point. I hope that in the future, the two sides can continue to strengthen in-depth cooperation in scientific research and personnel training, and achieve more fruitful results.

Looking forward to it, Shanghai University of Applied Technology and Zhejiang Xinge Nonferrous Metals Co., Ltd. production, learning and research base officially kicked off.

Xinge Group was founded on May 12, 1978 and is headquartered in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Xinge Group now has a number of companies in Zhejiang, Baotou, Changchun, Rizhao, Zhangzhou and Chongqing, with a total annual production capacity of about 1 million tons of aluminum alloy. The Group is mainly engaged in the production of secondary aluminum alloy and zinc alloy, direct supply of aluminum soup and scrap metal trade. Its products are sold to manufacturers of cars, motorcycle parts, household appliances, and other industrial and commercial products. Since it was put into production in 1993, Xinge Group has been the largest producer of recycled aluminum alloy in China. Zhejiang Xinge was founded in 2014, located in Jiashan, Zhejiang, near Shanghai, Hangzhou, the company's main aluminum alloy, zinc alloy, aluminum soup sales. The annual production capacity is expected to reach 300000 tons.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
