The center will carry out engineering research and system integration for the key and common technical problems in the prevention and control of lead battery production, recovery and recycling pollution in China. Promote the research and application of environmental protection, low-carbon new energy battery production technology and lead cycle technology, provide technical support for the realization of national environmental protection goals, and promote the transformation, upgrading and sustainable development of the whole battery industry.
As early as August 7 this year, the Ministry of Ecological Environment presided over the construction and acceptance meeting of the National Environmental Protection lead-acid Battery production and Recycling pollution Prevention and Control Engineering Center in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. The acceptance expert group listened carefully to the report on the construction of the supporting units, inspected the R & D facilities of the engineering and technology center, and reviewed the relevant materials for the acceptance of the engineering and technology center. The meeting suggested that the development direction and objectives of the engineering and technology center should be further clarified, and that, in view of the key and common technologies restricting the prevention and control of pollution in the industry, the research and development and transformation of pollution prevention and control technologies in the whole process of production, recovery and regeneration of lead-acid batteries should be further strengthened.
