According to reports, the mine's first drilling time is just over four years ago, Pilgangoora lithium mine is one of the fastest major lithium development projects in recent history, but also one of the highest lithium deposits in the world. Located 120km south of Port Hedland, the mine will produce 330000 tons of lithium and about 300000 pounds of tantalum a year. During the construction period, the staff of the Pilgangoora project reached more than 800, and there are currently about 200 Perth operations staff on the site.

, Pilbara Minerals's board of directors recently approved the second phase of the expansion plan, which will make it one of the largest lithium mines in the world, producing more than 800000 tons of lithium a year. Ken Brinsden, managing director and chief executive officer of Pilbara Minerals, said the mine would provide important lithium raw materials for the development of clean energy technologies and thanked the federal clean energy finance company for its $20 million investment in the project.

"Pilbara Minerals is now the world's new lithium producer," he said. We all firmly believe that our journey has only just begun. " Currently, Pilbara Minerals and attached Altura Mining Co., Ltd. have signed a sharing agreement that will share infrastructure, such as access roads and pipeline routes.

Western Australian Mining and Oil Minister Bill Johnston said the project has grown rapidly into one of Australia's fastest lithium development projects and expects the company to share its future battery industry strategy in the coming months.
