Vedanta says it will invest $700 million to $800 million in South African smelters

SMM10 29-Nadu (Deshnee Naidoo), head of zinc at Vedanta (Vedanta), a diversified mining company, said at an investment summit in Johannesburg on Friday that the company would invest up to $800m in a zinc smelter in South Africa.
