Eastern region and Bozymchak
The mine produced 17100 tons of copper in the third quarter (15300 tons in the second quarter of 2018) and is expected to produce about 65000 tons of gold under the guidance of 2018. Its gold production was 13800 ounces in the second quarter (13600 ounces in the second quarter).

Andrew Sonam (Andrew Southam), chief executive of the company, said: "in 2018, the group achieved steady growth, thanks to an increase in production of high-grade copper ore from its latest copper mine, Aktog ay, which was up 12 per cent from the same period in 2017." After the strong performance of KAZ Minerals assets in the third quarter, we are fully capable of meeting our full-year copper production targets and reaching the high end of our gold and silver guidelines.
