Albemarle's application to increase lithium production to 125000 tons rejected

SMM News: Chile's Nuclear Energy Commission has revoked its authorization to increase lithium production quotas approved by Albemarle earlier this year, according to Bloomberg News.

Located in Charlotte (Charlotte, NC), North Carolina, Albemarle, specializes in lithium, Br and refining catalysts and is a global specialty chemicals company. At present, the Albemarle lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) production quota is 80000 metric tons per year, if approved, it will reach 125000 tons.
