SMM, Sept. 6: the Peruvian government has set up a high-level group to outline the country's plans for the 2030 mining industry, the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mining said in an emailed statement. The organization will be made up of 31 people from the state, society, the private sector and academia, the statement said. The statement did not specify the names of the participants. The Group will prepare a report that outlines the way to achieve sustainable and inclusive mining, thereby contributing to the development of the country. Members will meet eight times in the next four months and will submit proposals to President Martin Wizkara (Martin Vizcarra) on 22 January 2019. Following discussions between the technical group and the local community the group will prepare a final version of the summary course of action.
