Swedish company Granges suspends its plan to establish an aluminum joint venture in the United States

SMM8, 20 March: Granges of Sweden announced on Friday that it plans to set up an aluminum manufacturing joint venture with Mitsubishi Aluminum (Mitsubishi aluminum) of Japan in the United States. The company said the project was less attractive "in the current situation". But a Granges spokesman later said the terms were related to the feasibility of the project and had little to do with U. S. import tariffs on aluminum.
