SMM8 14-White House Economic adviser Hassett said Monday that the Trump administration is monitoring Turkey's finances "very closely." Earlier, the Turkish currency fell to a record low against the dollar on Monday. The Turkish lira has fallen more than 40% against the dollar this year. The main reasons are concerns about the impact of President Taip Erdogan (recep Tayyip Erdogan) on the economy, his repeated calls for lower interest rates and dealing with the deterioration of relations between Turkey and the United States.
