China Seismological Network officially measured: August 05 19:46 in Indonesia's Sumbawa Island area (8.33 degrees south latitude, 116.45 degrees east longitude) occurred 6.8 earthquake, focal depth of 10 kilometers.

At 06:48 local time on July 29, a 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the eastern part of Indonesia's famous tourist resort, Longmu Island, followed by more than 200 aftershocks. According to Indonesian official statistics, as of August 1, the death toll from the earthquake has risen to 18, seriously injured more than 200 people, no Chinese citizen casualties have been reported.

Indonesia is an important producer of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, nickel, niobium, zirconium, tin and so on. Among them, Indonesia accounts for 80% of China's bauxite import market; it is one of the largest laterite nickel reserves, accounting for more than 50% of China's imports. Indonesia is also China's third-largest importer of zircon sand.

The above minerals are mainly located in Kalimantan Island in central Indonesia, while Indonesian laterite mainly comes from Sulawesi Island, Obi Island and so on. Songbawa Island is not a nickel mining area, so Indonesian mines should not be affected.
