SMM7 25: according to Bloomberg news, BHP Billiton (BHP Billiton) in order to avoid the world's largest copper Escondida strike, has included more "sweet" provisions in the final proposed collective bargaining agreement.

It is worth noting that BHP Billiton has not previously provided 15.5 million real wage growth and a one-time payment, Patricio Vilaplana, vice president of corporate affairs at BHP, said in a statement: "We do not want a strike, and we are sure that the vast majority of workers do not want it."

Union leaders did not immediately respond to requests for comment, and workers will meet on July 26 to discuss the terms of the offer and vote on them from July 28 to August 1.

In its proposal in early June, the union demanded a 2017 profit equivalent to 4 per cent, about $40000 per worker, as well as a 5 per cent pay rise.
