The sixth working meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Air pollution Prevention and Control Cooperation Group and the third working meeting of the Yangtze River Delta Regional Water pollution Prevention and Control Cooperation Group were held in Shanghai on June 2. During the special operation of joint law enforcement, the inspection teams of the eight cities along the Yangtze River dispatched 960 environmental law enforcement personnel and 240 public security police, and found 1199 enterprises with environmental violations, of which 256 enterprises exceeded the standard in wastewater discharge. At present, 187 have been shut down and rectified, 161 have been seized and detained, 25 have been banned from closure, and it is suggested that they be transferred to the administrative detention of public security organs or investigated for criminal responsibility.
