SMM: Mt Cattlin released a report showing that in the first quarter of 2018, the company produced 43852 metric tons of lithium concentrate and sold 44258 metric tons of lithium concentrate. Total mining increased by 32 per cent over the previous quarter, with the average cash cost of production being $415 per kilogram, excluding royalties and marketing costs. The increase in unit costs over the previous quarter was mainly due to an increase in mining and an increase in the amount of ore processed. Ore processing capacity increased by 4 per cent to 430398 wet metric tons, ore grade reached 1.11 per cent in line with quarterly expectations and spodumene production was slightly higher than expected in the current quarter.
