What is NanoSlic nano-coating?

How does the NanoSlic nano-coating work?
NanoSlic is applied under pore walls and templates and provides a hydrophobic and hydrophobic surface. This prevents the solder paste from sticking to the template to which the coating is applied. The benefits of this include reducing bridging, minimizing bottom cleaning, and improving solder paste release. When NanoSlic nano-coating is used, the volume of solder paste will increase significantly.
What is the difference between NanoSlic nano-coatings and other coatings on the market?

Does the nano-coating of NanoSlic affect the thickness of the template? Aperture size?
The aperture length and width decrease with the thickness of the coating, but the thickness of the template increases the thickness of the NanoSlic. The net change in aperture volume is about 5% and depends slightly on the aperture size. NanoSlic can increase the volume of printing paste because it has excellent paste transfer efficiency. This greatly compensates for a slight decrease in aperture size.
Will the nano-NanoSlic coating fall off?
The coating is designed as a permanent part of the template. Before the NanoSlic nano-coating shows any signs of wear, the template may be damaged and become unusable.
Are NanoSlic nano-coatings compatible with clean chemicals?
Most cleaning chemicals are compatible with NanoSlic nano-coatings. However, higher pH (> 11) detergents can damage the coating over time. A list of recommended cleaning chemicals is included in the technical data sheet.
What happens if the NanoSlic nano-coating falls off in the printing pulp?
The coating is Nonionic and chemically inert and forms part of the flux residue around the solder joint. If water-soluble solder paste is used, the coating is easily washed away by flux. If clean solder paste is not used, the coating becomes an inert part of the flux residue.
Is the NanoSlic nano-coating toxic?
The coating is non-toxic and complies with RoHS,RoHS2 and REACH regulations.
Is the NanoSlic nano-coating visible on the template?
Yes, the NanoSlic nano-coating is easy to see on the template, so you know where it is and how it works. The wipes on the coating are usually invisible, so it is difficult to tell when they will stop working.
If the NanoSlic nano-coating is damaged, can it be re-coated?
The NanoSlic nano-coating cannot be re-coated on the previously coated template.
Can NanoSlic nano-coatings be used in used production templates?
Yes and no. Templates must be completely removed from all solder paste residues, but we recommend applying freshly cut and cleaned templates to ensure proper bonding.
Will the application of NanoSlic nano-coating change the delivery time of the template?
Yes, the NanoSlic coating increases the delivery time by one day.
