Silicon inventories at ports inch down as outflows grow ahead of holiday

Stocks across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port edged down 2,000 mt from a week ago and stood at 56,000 mt as of Apr 26

SHANGHAI, Apr 26 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city, and Tianjin port edged down 2,000 mt from a week ago and stood at 56,000 mt as of Friday April 26, SMM data showed.

Deliveries leaving Huangpu and Tianjin ports grew ahead of the Labour Day holiday, and this slightly lowered stocks across the two ports.

Stocks in Kunming held steady as greater supplies from producers in Nujiang offset increased deliveries.

SMM data showed that social inventories of refined zinc ingots across Shanghai, Tianjin, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Hebei decreased 12,100 mt in the week ended June 25 to 116,500 mt. The stocks fell 6,400 mt from Monday June 21.
